You may access federally mandated information and policy disclosures through the "Consumer Disclosures" button. The school's annual security report, as mandated by the Clery Act, may be accessed through the "Annual Security Report" button. Our barbering program will provide students with instruction in written barber theory and hands-on practical skills training. Additionally, students will be trained to monetize their barbering skills using business and marketing techniques. Successful graduates of our barbering program will be prepared to obtain licensure and seek out gainful employment as a registered barber or master hair care specialist.

When do classes start?
Classes are scheduled to begin on the first Tuesday in each month.
How long is the program?
The program consists of 1,500 clock hours of training.

Full Time: 9:00am - 4:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday
9:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday
Does your school accept financial aid?
Yes, we are certified by the US Dept. of Education to administer Title IV Federal Financial Aid programs. Applicants interested in using financial aid must complete the application online at the following link: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa.
Will I be able to use the G.I. Bill to pay for school?
Yes, we are approved by the SC Commission of Higher Education to accept veterans education benefits including the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill. Please speak with an admissions representative to find out more information.
Will I be able to transfer hours from another program?
Applicants seeking to transfer into our program from another institution must officially withdraw from the previous school and submit an official training affidavit of training hours completed for review. The acceptance of any transfer hours is at the discretion of school officials; furthermore, any transfer student must enroll for a minimum of 500 clock hours.
Will I receive my barber's license directly from the school?
No, once a student graduates he/she must register for the licensing exam online using the Professional Credential Services (PCS) website. The licensing exam consists of two sections; a written examination and a hands-on practical evaluation. The written exam is administered through a testing site located here in Charleston, SC. The practical exam is administered directly by the SC Board of Barber Examiners in Columbia, SC. Students must successfully pass both sections to be granted licensure.
